After the sudden announcement from the Prime Minister that there will be a snap general election on June 8th, we got straight to work.
We’re building a campaign to encourage young people aged 18-24 in Swale to get out and vote. We’ve already announced our free lift service, and today we’re happy to announce our partnership with Voting Counts.
Voting Counts is a simple, unbiased political resource that helps citizens make informed decisions when voting.
The excellent resources and content that Voting Counts offer will become the backbone of our online platform, providing simple to understand and decoded politics that allow young people in Swale to feel confident in voting this June.
Patrick Cantellow, CEO of Swale Young People said:
“All of Voting Counts content is created by young adults and students, as well as being accurate and easy to understand, which really fits into our ethos at Swale Young People.”
Rachael Farrington, Founder of Voting Counts said:
“Voting Counts is really pleased to be working with an organisation such as Swale Young People to get young adults informed ahead of the General Election in June.
We hope this partnership can maximise the reach of our content to more young adults, empowering them to make an informed decision when voting.”
The platform is due to open by the end of April.
